In a recent Washington Post article, David Fallis reveals a back door strategy by 450 mayors to get President Obama to take increased control of guns and gun owners.

I have long believed that until a 2nd Obama administration that President Obama would use increased funding and the regulatory process – - that does not require a vote of congress – to slowly infringe the 2nd Amendment in to oblivion.

The link above is just one more confirmation of this.

That is why you and I must stay vigilant and hold our federal officials responsible for ANYTHING Mr. Obama does.

Is a vote for health care reform a vote against gun rights?

At first glance, the two issues might seem unrelated, which is why some VGOC supporters have been asking me, “Why are gun owners getting into the health care debate?”

My friend Paul Valone at the Charlotte Gun Rights Examiner gives one of the best answers I have seen.

He points out that the British Medical Association is working with police to “tag” medical records of gun licensees. The same thing will happen here in America if Obama Care in the form of HR 3200 becomes law.

Recently, gun owners were reminded why Americans must have the right to defend themselves wherever they travel. 

A confrontation with a bear had a happy ending for a man in Alaska but one with a violent criminal had a tragic ending for two Virginia Tech students.


Greg Brush of Alaska used his .454 Casull to stop an angry 900-pound bear from ripping him to shreds. 

Fortunately, Brush put a couple well-placed rounds in the right places to stop the bear from tearing him to pieces.

Guns do in fact save lives.  That is why police carry them and why law-abiding Virginians should not be disarmed in criminal safe zones. 

Of course, Sarah Brady doesn’t want you to have the ability to protect yourself in the wild.  According to her and the rest of the gun control lobby, you surrender your right to life when you enter a National Park or other “gun-free” zones.

She’s probably crying at a memorial service for the bear.
